Logotype and t-shirt design for Lions & Tigers & Whales, a Washington, DC area punk band. The design not only contrasts the loud, aggressive sounds of the band with an elegant bespoke typeface, but serves as a winking homage to the classic monogram logo of the Yves Saint Laurent fashion house.<img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/4/154968/2150003/LTW01.jpg" width="670" height="531" width_o="670" height_o="531" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/4/154968/2150003/LTW01_o.jpg" data-mid="10729956" border="0" align="left"/><img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/4/154968/2150003/LTW02.jpg" width="670" height="531" width_o="670" height_o="531" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/4/154968/2150003/LTW02_o.jpg" data-mid="10730317" border="0" align="left"/>

This instrumental duo creates works that are at once abstract and beautiful, which organically led to the creation and selection of imagery reflective of this unique aspect of their sound.

Lovers and Liars was a six-week film series I curated, programmed, and hosted for the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions' Office of Cultural Affairs in Baltimore, Maryland. The films I selected for this survey of the romantic landscape in contemporary South Korean cinema range in tone from quirky comedy to Shakespearean tragedy. The print and email marketing campaign I designed uses brushstrokes in a muted color palette adapted from the South Korean flag, with an emphasis on a sanguine red as a symbol of the love, lust, passion, and revenge central to each of the films’ narratives.
